1.
When I gain weight it's all over my entire body.
2.
I have always been "athletic" but recently the pounds have
begun to creep up.
3.
There was a time, after I graduated high school, when I could
eat practically anything I wanted and never gain an ounce.
4.
It
seems like no matter how little I eat, I gain weight.
5.
For
as long as I can remember, all I had to do was "look at food"
and I would gain weight.
6.
If
I am even an hour late for a regular meal, I get ravenously
hungry.
7.
Even
if I lost all the fat I wanted, I'd never be a skinny model
type. I have more "meat" on my bones than that.
8.
I
have lots of energy. People are always amazed at how quickly
I'm moving through the world.
9.
Most
of the time I can hide my weight in my clothes, but I wouldn't
consider being seen in a swimsuit.
10.
I
am rarely hungry at meal times.
11.
Obesity
runs in my family (many close members of my family are 50
pounds or more overweight.)
12.
I
get hungry very soon after I eat.
13.
If
all the fat on my body disappeared I think that I would look
great.
14.
If
all the fat on my body disappeared I think I might be skinny
or boney.
15.
To
get my "ideal body" I will have to lose:
Women:
1 to 2 dress sizes (i.e. from size 8 to 6 or 4)
Men: 2-4 inches on my waist
16.
To
get my "ideal body" I will have to lose:
Women:
3 to 4 dress sizes (i.e. from size 14 to 8 or 6)
Men: 4-8 inches on my waist
17.
To
get my "ideal body" I will have to lose:
Women:
5 or more dress sizes (i.e. from size 18 to 8 or 6)
Men: 8 or more inches on my waist
18.
If
I go more than two or three hours without eating I get shaky
or irritable.
19.
There
are parts of my body that are too muscular (my buns or thighs
or my arms).
20.
At
the same time that I lose weight, I would like to increase
the size of some of my muscles to give my body shape and definition.
21.
It
is only as I got older or had children that I started to have
trouble with my weight.
22.
I
have very low energy levels for much of the time.
23.
I
worry that I am so overweight it is jeopardizing my health.
24.
If
I go a long time without eating, I get a feeling of "panic."
25.
As
far as I can remember I have never been so thin that people
would call me "bony" or "skinny."
26.
Parts
of my body are too thin (i.e. skinny arms, thighs or calves).
27.
When
I get more physical activity in my life, my body loses fat
fairly quickly.
28.
I
need to lose weight ALL over my body.
29.
Because
of my weight, it is very hard for me to do any kind of exercise.
30.
If
I don't eat on schedule, I simply can't control what I eat
at the next meal.
31.
Even
though I may have more fat than I want, the body underneath
is still pretty "solid" (hard or firm underneath when I flex
my muscle.)
32.
At
some point in my life (not counting when you were a little
kid), people have said to me, "You should gain weight, you
look too thin."
33.
There
are parts of my body that are NOT overweight.
34.
I
currently only eat twice a day.
35.
I
have had serious weight problems for nearly my entire life.
36.
Sometimes
when I get up too quickly, I get lightheaded or dizzy.
37.
If
I had to describe myself as either "strong" or "weak," physically,
I would tend to say "strong."
38.
If
I had to describe myself as either "strong" or "weak," physically,
I would tend to say "weak."
39.
I
tend to gain weight in specific areas (belly, "love handles,"
thighs, etc.) while much of the rest of my body stays "normal."
40.
I
have been off and on diets for much of my adult life.
41.
I
believe that I am genetically doomed to be "fat" and will
always be "fat."
42.
After
exercise, I often feel like I am "starving."
43.
If
I flex my arm I can feel a muscle.
44.
More
than being overweight, my problem is that my body lacks shape
or definition.
45.
I
have only had trouble with my weight for the last three to
five years.
46.
I
used to be very athletic, but don't even recognize my body
anymore.
47.
If
I had to pick a shape to describe my body it would probably
be "round."
48.
If
I am tense or anxious, eating a candy bar, bread or pasta
tend to calm me down.
